The study analyzed profitability of different cropping systems and organic amendments. Vegetable-based systems, particularly those including tomato, were most profitable. FYM as the nutrient source provided the highest economic returns, even without organic price premiums.

Findings

Organic vegetable production can be economically viable in the region without relying on price premiums. Choosing appropriate crop combinations and organic inputs is crucial for maximizing profitability.
