ABOUT

Various stakeholders, such as the government, CSOs, CSR initiatives, philanthropists, and funders, are involved in promoting agroecology in different ways and across different parts of the country. However, there is a lack of availability of information about their initiatives and the on-ground progress on various aspects of agriculture and rural development, collated and accessible easily in a one-stop manner.  This makes it difficult to estimate the extent of the work done and to identify the missing elements in the landscape/cluster regarding services, enterprise, ecosystem and social infrastructure, which prevent farmers from confidently adopting agroecology. Our tracker aims to address this by showcasing different interventions across different elements of the landscape by different ecosystem actors in specific geographies.

  • The Bharat Agroecology Tracker is a platform that tracks and monitors initiatives related to agroecology or Natural Farming across the country. The purpose is to serve as a centralised resource for government bodies, civil society organisations, CSRs, philanthropists, Funders and other stakeholders seeking to promote agroecology.
  • It provides real-time tracking and monitoring of agroecology initiatives across all stakeholder categories, offering valuable insights and identifying service gaps to facilitate the planning and design of required interventions.
  • The tracker could enable strategic resource allocation by fostering collaboration among stakeholders to avoid duplication of efforts.
  • It aligns with policy goals by providing insights into state-level initiatives by various stakeholders and tracking their outcomes.
  • Key features include interactive mapping and a directory of key actors to encourage collaboration and replication of best practices designed for contextualised settings.
Help us build this robust repository for all ecosystem actors by sharing details about your agroecology initiative.
